I am irregular periods for past 6-8 months and its happening when I am planning a baby. Can hou please advice?

Sometimes because of stress or many other lifestyle factors or hormonal changes, ovulation does not occur for one month and menses gets delayed. As you said you used to have regular cycles, that means you are regularly having ovulation. No need to panic and no need of any tests as of now. Wait for another 6 month or so, and if you do not get pregnant by that time then it needs to be investigated. In the mean time reduce your weight by jogging or brisk walk.
