I am 31 years married woman and I diagnosed with high blood pressure (140-90) 2 years back. Doctor prescribed asomex 2.5 mg. I used to take it since 2 yrs, but currently my bp not controlled by 2.5 mg. Its 150-110. So I changed the doctor and new doctor prescribed me 5 mg asomex twice a day for 2 weeks. And advised to few tests. All below tests are normal, ecg, 2decho, renal doppler, creatinine, uric acid, ulra tsh. I am using 5 mg asomex twice a day now. But before taking a medicine at night I monitor my bp using omron machine. And it shows 103/63 since last 2 days. Please suggest, taking 5 mg medicine at controlled bp is okay? And its not lowering my bp below range. I really need a advice. My age is 31, weight 54, height 5. 2.

Continue taking medications as advised by your physician and increase your physical activities like yoga and exercises. Once you start exercises and yoga regularly you can recheck your blood pressure at your physicians clinic and he would advise you to low your antihypertensive drugs dose.
