I'm 19 years old and i'm having hair loss already, its male pattern baldness, my father and my uncle also have it and my uncle lost his hairs at a young age. My androgen levels are high because its in my genes. To prevent this, should I start taking finasteride (1 mg)? And should I take it on alternative days to be more safe about the possible side effects even if they're rare? Please help me and please correct me if i'm misunderstanding something thanks.
