Hi lybrate-user progressive reduction in the extent of your mouth opening in conjunction with habitual tobacco chewing would, on the face of it, suggest developing oral submucous fibrosis (osmf). The diagnosis can only be confirmed by actual physical examination, and, if necessary, biopsy. Please see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the esrliest. In the meantime, complete cessation of the tobacco habit and avoidance of spicy foods is a prerequisite for institution of therapy. Osmf is a potentially dangerous condition which can progress to cancer unless ongoing insult that caused it is eliminated. You would also need to understand that most treatment options available at present target the symptoms, namely the restricted mouth opening. The condition itself is not eliminated. Hence further progression can happen if the habits are restarted.
