Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes for heel pain but normally it can be due to inflammation in your plantar fascia, leg pain similarly can be due to issues in muscles, tendons, nerves, vessels etc. To start with, - do intensive physical therapy for heel fascia, you can ask your therapist to start with ultrasonics and stretching of fascia - ice packs for application 3-4 times in a day - anti-inflammatory medication lie tab etoshine or tab paracetamol etc can be used - local analgesic spray like dynapar qps spray for local application after feomentation - take adequate calcium and vitamin d as per requirement. Avoid extensive physical activity till your calf pain subsides also modify your footwear to a well cushioned one like sports shoes from a good company so that adequate pressure is taken off from your inflammed fascia. Try daily brisk walks for 2-3 km in a day. Let me know in 2 weeks time how you are feeling. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
