Meningitis is infection of meninges by bacteria, viruses tubercular bacteria or fungi. It leads to fever, headache, projectile vomiting, neck rigidity. Increased intracranial pressure may lead to papilloedema and diplopia. Meningitis is diagnosed by typical picture of cerebrospinal fluid (csf. It is managed by intravenous ceftriaxone for 2 weeks.
