I took these for a period of 3 months and stopped visiting the doctor due to high monthly consultation fess since the condition had improved, later realised gnuts triggered my flares and avoided it for all this long and recently I saw flares come back after like 5 months again. Hi, methotrexate is an immunosuppressive medicine so should be taken only under doctor's supervision. After initiation of medical therapy with methotrexate, follow-up tests should include monitoring of cbc, renal function test, and liver function tests weekly for 4 weeks and then at least bi-monthly. Scalp psoriasis if mild to moderate can be managed with applications and shampoos. You can go for a ketoconazole and salicylic acid containing shampoos twice to thrice a week for head bath. Steroid lotion can also be helpful. Pls see a dermatologist for specific recommendations. Thanks.
