Hello doctor I had TSH level of 4.93 on 06/02/16 (during my first trimester). I started taking 100 mcg of thyronorm daily since today ie. On 23/10.16 (for about 1 and half months). When should I change my dose? I am worried if my baby is unnecessarily exposed to high dose of thyroxine? Please suggest.

Hello, madam, in pregnancy, tsh level should be maintained around 2 milli units/ml. Taking thyroxine 100mcg, no way burdens the baby. In fact it is recommended that in the first trimester tsh should be <2 milli units, for better fetal growth and maintenance of pregnancy.
