I am 62 years old male. Three months back I had sensitivity in the 14th upper teeth, mild pain so that unable to chew on the right side. Dental hospital gave me ampicilin 500 mg three times a day for one week. Sensitivity had gone in a fortnight and tooth pain gone in one month. But still there is some difficulty while chewing. Mean while since last two months I am feeling heaviness in my head and mild giddiness. I am bp patient 140/90 after medication (revalol xl 50 and envas 10). My sugar level fasting 110 after metformin 500 sr. What should I do for my giddiness and heaviness in my head.

If you have any x ray of 14 pl send I think there is some infection which needs to b treated 2ndly if pns view x ray you can send will b useful. Steam inhalations my prove to b of some help.

Do you have history of any additional symptoms like cold or running nose in past month. Chances can be of chronic maxillary sinusitis which sometimes can resembles as dental pain. Try taking steam inhalation 3 to 4 times a day and see if that can relief your heaviness and giddiness. Do light exercise regularly

The pain from an infection in the upper molar teeth can some time be referred to the sinus or the head causing a feeling of heaviness, discomfort or downright pain. A mere prescription of antibiotics cannot be considered adequate treatment in such a scenario. The concerned tooth needs to be examined and a radiograph (xray) might also be needed. Then the appropriate treatment can be suggested. If you already have a radiograph, you can share the same for further opinion.

Kindly show this to your dental surgeon, this requires an x ray and than rct for the tooth to be done, you will be fine after that, or the best will be to get it extracted and your complaint due to tooth will go away. Good luck.

Have you done the xray for tooth no 14? its advisable to do an xray and if the tooth is having too much of decay, then you should undergo rct or extraction (as suggested by your dentist)

I agree with the doctors advice that you need to c the dentist coz your a senior citizen and being careless or ignoring the complaints than it may cause more problem. Sensitivity can be of many reasons now that you took medicine you may not have but you need to know wats the problem, dn't be afraid. Whatever feasible treatment you need the dentist will do that only.
