Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Heel pain is normally due to inflammation of an underlying fascia called as plantar fascia. If there is no swelling or any other sign of inflammation, I will advise you: - ice packs intensively 3-4 times in a day - footwear modification ( try to wear sports or well cushioned shoes only) - short course of anti-inflammatory medication - physical therapy like heel, ankle stretch ex and eccentric ex to be done under supervision of a physotherapist.
