This question is for my dad and the DOB given is also of my dad he is suffering from diabetes from like 10 days now can you please advice the treatment and diet plan for him.

You take 3 big meals n 2 small meals between 3 big meals. In morning take 1 glass of lukeworm water with 1/2 spoon methidana powder its helps to control blood sugar level. Then walk for 45 min. Tea without sugar with biscuits (digestive marrie / marrie gold) after 1 hr you take breakfast like daliya, oats, upma, sprouts. In midmorning take any fruit except banana, cheeku, grapes. Treatment should be started immediatly as soon as dm is diagnosed, lifestyle modification includes excercise/ walking for at least 30-45 min. Per day depending on physical conditions. Small frequent meals. Diet should contain low sugar, low fat & high fibres. Drug treatment depends on present blood sugar levels, kidney function. Lipid profile hba1c levels. Must for all diabetic.
