Can one get n. Fowleri infection in india by washing face or bathing with normal tap water drawn up using a jet pump from underground and stored in syntex plastic tanks? While washing face sometimes, when I breathe in, I worry if some water drop may go in the nose. Is it possible to get infected like this? I have used that water for over 6 years but after reading about n fowleri infection, worry to even wash my face. I don't use neti pots or swim. I keep on taking azithromycin, when I fear, I may have breathed in even mildly after washing my face or shaving. This is a kind of phobia that is tormenting me and I want to get rid of. Please respected doctors relieve me of this anxiety and stupid behaviour by laying my fears to rest. I reside in gorakhpur city area in uttar pradesh in india. Please help sirs and madams.
