I don? t think you are fully aware of what you are doing. You see when you relate too much into the future, you will be afraid. This is because of the fear of the unknown, and no one can predict the future. If you look too much into the past you will be sad and angry. It is in the present that one finds happiness. When you are distracted by the future or past naturally you cannot concentrate in the present. Then you will get upset and get into a depression. It is important for you to have a goal and set objectives. But after that you need to focus on how to get there. In other words, today (or every day) is important and you rate your success in terms of reaching your goal by being satisfied that you have done something towards meeting that goal for that day. Bit by bit you work towards reaching your objectives. If there is something alarming about your future you need to discuss it with a counselor and find ways and means to set the right targets which are attainable by you. At 29 you must be quite clear about the future! in management you learn that it is the process that matters and all the energy, time, resources, and manpower must be focused on the step-by-step process (in the here and now), which if it is goal-oriented will definitely reach its target.
