Hi, emotional eating is a bad condition to be into because it can be done blindly, which is called" invisible eating. Invisible eating means eating emotionally when you are happy, sad, or angry without realizing it. Basically, if you take a cookie out of the cookie jar every time you feel emotion, you are emotionally eating. Here are some ways to take control of your emotional eating and stop it. Allow yourself to feel the emotion you've been trying to stuff down with food. Choose not to eat emotionally 5 minutes at a time. During the process of feeling these previously avoided feelings, use self-talk such as" I allow myself to experience a full range of emotions" or" feeling my feelings helps me to live a fuller life. Sometimes the feelings you're running from can be resolved in a fairly short period of time and you can free yourself from the pattern for good simply by refusing to run from it. Whether you eat out of anger, sadness or happiness, don't judge yourself for it. All you need to do is notice at first what you have done and why. You can say to yourself" hmmm, isn't it interesting that I ate because of.(a fight, stress etc), maybe next time I will catch myself before I eat over that same issue and do something else (something healthier) instead. Sometimes telling someone - anyone - about your habit can take away some of the power of the food. It seems like less of a big deal once you've said it out loud. Get active and join a gym to compensate for the amount of food you are eating and to get back in shape,
