My brother started stammering from 1 year. During speaking he stops eventually in front of someone else as well as family members. Due to this he lost his confidence in himself and now he even do not want to talk to Anyone freely. He fears that if he will speak he will stammer and will be laughed at by others. During stammering he sometimes pronounces a word longer than actual time Or sometimes he eventually stops during speaking and says that the word seems that it will not come from his mouth at that point of time. So I request you to give me suggestion on what I should do for my brother. Thank you.

Dear asked your brother slow the rate of speech whenever speaking someone or discuss with friends, take a small breath to started the words, practice relaxation and breathing exercises at home. Less the nervousness and be freely mixed with other, reduce the secondary behaviors is most important for stammering client. Confidence your self whenever you talking somebody, discuss about the any topic at home with family members. But you consult the speech therapist and evaluate the stammering then take continues speech therapy their are apply some techniques for u, like relaxation breathing exercises etc. That's you practice regularly at home. I hope after take speech therapy your brother's stammering is may be curable, speech therapy is very important got your brother, take speech therapy.
