Yes please maintain your sitting posture errect always and avoid too much travelling. For the pain you already have use some tailas like mahanarayana taila or dhanwantari taila, apply externally where the pain is concetrated.

Try to find the root cause of pain. Massage the affected area with lukewarm oil two or three tines daily. Maintain right posture of your body while sitting standing or walking. Never over bend your spines. Do some exercises of back bone. sleep on hard bed.
