Dear Mr. Lybrate-user with reference to your symptoms you are suffering from chondromalacia patellae which means that due to extensive workout (biking/yoga ex's) there is softening of delicate cartilage between knee cap & thigh bone. Kindly stop your loading ex's on knee joints & apply ice packs. You can even use pain relieving sprays as & when required. Start 2 basic ex's in supine lying position in bed i. E. 1. Place 1 rolled towel underneath your knee joint & tighten your thigh muscle (quadriceps) for a count of 10 & relax. 2. Straighten your 1 knee & lift leg upto 45 degrees. Hold for count of 5 & lower. Do these 2 ex's 10 repetitions each & can increase gradually upto 20 repetitions in 2 weeks time. You will definitely feel better. Get well soon:)
