I have undergone total knee replacement surgery in october 2014. However, I still get pain on movement and there is a peculiar feeling of something getting pulled over my patella when I climb stairs. Please please advise what could be the cause of this. The operating doctor does not answer my query

Dear , there can be many reasons for the pain. Sometimes you may be having inflammatory arthritis which was ignored. Its also possible that a few muscle fibers or the joint capsule might be tethered. I could give you a solution only after full examination of the knee. Does you knee get hot? is it swollen? how much can you bend the knee? do you feel a sound coming from the knee? send me you xrays so that I can take a look. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr. Manoj kumar khemani
