I am male, 35. Off late I am loosing my power to focus on things. I used to be an avid reader and had a good academic and professional record. But nowadays I can hardly concentrate and read any written material for more than 10 mins.

You are probably under some form of stress. Look back and see what is causing the stress and for how long. Once you deal with the stress, the focus and memory will happily return. There may be some pressure if you are looking too much into the future too: that is another form of stress that needs to be dealt with soon. Meet with a counselor and check out your emotions to make sure you are not suppressing them. In the meantime please do regular and vigorous exercise, yoga and meditation, get at least 8 hours of sleep every day, and eat a healthy diet of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. I hope there are no strains in the domestic scene and with the people in the house. Attend some spiritual courses to accept life as it is and to learn to live calmly and in a relaxed manner.
