Hello in most cases, dental work won?t be affected by your use of a blood thinner. Usually, it is not necessary to discontinue any medication prior to a root canal. This includes blood thinners such as other medication for management of high blood pressure etc. An issue might arise, however, if an invasive procedure has the potential to cause bleeding, like a surgical procedure requiring mucoperiosteal flap and ianb anesthesia or endodontic surgery. However, you should not stop taking any medications without speaking to your dentist and physician first.
