The best and ideal time for meditation or pranayama is morning hours between 4 to 7 am, this time period is called as bramhi muhurtham or the time of acquiring knowledge. The duration of meditation can be from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending up on the sadhana or practice. Based on your age and comfortness either you can select a place which is calm and either you can sit on floor or chair with proper seating posture and to be practiced and the eases your stress.
