Hi my ultrasound scan report was impression: left kidney shows double moiety with moderate hydroureteronephrosis of upper moiety, secondary to a calculus of size ~ 1.1*0.4 cm in lower ureter, seen ~ 5 cm proximal to uv junction. Rest of visualized organs appear normal sonography. Now my urology doctor said we have to wait for 10 days because width 0.4 mm and one more thing stone shape is narrow, that seems to be like chalk piece. Now my medication is thiazide 25 mg one tab in morning for 10 days and urimax 0.4 mg 1 per night 10 days. Today I gave blood test urea and creatine and urine routine, waiting for report. Any chance of possible to stone pass away? How many days we have to wait? Now no pain in abdominal and back. Please read patiently and answer to my question. Please guide me without surgery (rirs and ursl). Thank you for your upcoming valuable answers.

Ok , according to you provided history that stone it might come by it's own but we ill not interpret how many days it i'll take come-out by its own and by way you didn't kept pic of your usg images or report as well and pls don't warry much if it's causing much pain I know it's excruciating pain and terrific no one can bear it. I'll suggest onething for you if it's not come by it's own or it i'll causing you more combersome you pls go for operative procedure because it's a final modality as of now you follow these steps if not relieved you can contact me or any surgeon or urologist of your choice and don't afraid of surgery nowadays very minimal invasive techniques are came in to the medical field and feel free to contact * drink plenty of water * little observe you eye on micturition daily * drink some citrus fruit juices of your choice * take butter milk * avoid non veg deit till stone i'll come up and finaly my best wishes to you is get well soon from this problem without surgery or else contact me or urologist of your choice it might be costlier but surgery is the final modality if it's taking too much time better go for surgery by the way tysm.

Yes, your stone is narrow; there are chances that it will fall with medication but you cannot wait for long. Since you have diabetes and your kidney is obstructed there is high risk of infection in the affected kidney. You need to do a follow up sonography to see for passage of stone & reduction in swelling over kidney. If it is still there, then go for surgery; don't wait for the complications to occur.

See, there is definitely a possibility that the stone of 1.1 by 0.4 (elongated shape) will get expelled from you body spontaneously with the help of medicines. Take plenty of water along with medicines. The question is how long you can wait for it.in my opinion, it shouldn't be more that a month. Because, the stone will be exerting back pressure changes. So if it doesn't come out in a month, take help of the urologist.
