I have major depressive disorder from past 10 years. I feel tired, negative most of the times and avoid engaging in activities that I like. I have trouble in doing everyday task because of my slow brain function and cognitive issues. I struggle with verbal communication, memory, concentration and learning new things. I feel depressed and my self esteem is too low. It is affecting my work and personal life. I have lots of regrets about my past and I think my future will be bad. I was talking sertraline 5 years back which was working well for cognitive function and my mood too. But right now I am taking escitalopram 10 mg which is making me sleepy. I was reading that vortioxetin improves cognitive function in major depressive disorder. I do yoga, pranayama and meditation now most of the days when I feel good. I have marriage proposal and I want to get better and do good in life. Please advise what best I can do to completely get well.
