Hi lybrate-user, diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder that prevents the body to utilise glucose completely or partially. Symptoms include increased thirst, increased urination, increased hunger, weight loss in type 1 diabetes and obesity in type 2 diabetes. Precautions to be taken include- proper and balanced diet, distribution of foods in a systematic way, avoiding foods which are high in glycemic index and exercise.
