I am 65 years old. For the last 3 days I am suffering from knee pain. What is the remedial medicines I should take. This pain is for the first time. I undertake morning walk daily for one and half hours and cover about 7 kilometres. Due to development of this knee pain I am afraid of going for morning walk.

You can take over the counter analgesics like paracetamol 500 mg to reduce your pain. Take rest for 3-4 days. Apply hot bag and pain relieving gel. If the pain is not relieved you can consult me. so that I can prescribe medicines.

Hi thanks for your query. It' s only since last 3 days that you are having pain, it usually is due to inflammatory episode in knee degeneration which may lead to all this.
