I am having thyroid. I recognized it before one year. I have been using THYRONORM 100MG. My TSH levels are normal after using this Medicine. I have been checking my TSH levels for every three months. Then I again met Endocrinologist for the opinion. But he advised me to take 100mg again. I thought the Mg should be decreased. please tell me a valid suggestion and I want to consult a homeotherapist for the permanent cure. please suggest me with the best answer.

Hi lybrate-user hypothyroidism is due to deficiency of thyroid hormones. The thyronorm medicine you are taking is supplying the deficiency your thyroid gland is unable to produce. Your thyroid level is normal because of medication. Normally thyroid medicine is required life long. So please follow your endocrinologist as proper thyroid levels are essential. There is no permanent cure as such.
