Hi my friend is fasting from yesterday. He took 10 units of human actrapid insulin. And again he'll be on fasting today so will it creates any problem to him. If so what immediate action should we have to take. Please suggest.

He is taking insulin and today on fast. If he is taking full amount of insulin but taking any food. There is chances of hypoglycemia. So better to ask him every one two hours about the symptoms like feeling sudden hunger. Thrust. Headach. Etc. Then check his sugar if blood sugar is 70 or less then it give him 3 tsp of glucose or sugar or half cup of juice. Then chk sugar after fifteen min. If it is more then eighty give him some solid food as he is on fast if thy eat fruit give him fruit.
