Allergic reaction in form of hives all over the body and swollen lips today morning. Have taken allegra 180 mg for 3 days and I was normal. I'm taking support tablet for acne control now. Could this be the reason and what to do? My prescription for acne body and face: ketoconazole dandruff shampoo sebamed lip balm epiduo cream persolforte cream saferet tablet depiwhite cream.

Hi the problem which you are suffering is called acute urticaria with angioedema. Hives can be because of an allergic reaction to an external stimulus or internal causes. Potential trigger factors like infections like viral, bacterial etc, drugs, food hypersensitivity, environmental changes etc might be the reasons. For time being continue t allergra to control itching and use moisturising cream like nivea or vaseline on the body for soothing effect. Avoid dust, cool or too hot temperatures, preservative and coloured foods like biscuits ,chips, tomato ketchup etc which can trigger allergy. If not responding, please get evaluated with investigations like cbpesr, tsh, rbs, lft, s.ige levels, ana, cue to know the cause .usually ,acne medication will not cause hives. Better discuss with you primary dermatologist or come to online.
