Presuming you mean bronchial asthma it is due to family history, repeated attack of cold, some allergic triggers which are particular only to you which may have to be identified like dust, change in weather, humidity vehicle fumes, cock roach, pollens etc. Breathing exercises suggested by yoga trainer may also help. If it persists waste no time to visit the general physician or pulmonologist.
