My friend is married for almost 1and half years but unable to perform sexual intercourse although he is healthy n active. He says his wife is lacking sexual desires. What might b the reason? How can he overcome the current situation? Is there any medication to increase the desire in females? And she also feels that her vaginal opening is small, so she fears to have sex. Is there any operation to increase the size of the opening. Please suggest what to do coz they r at the edge of unwanted divorce.

I appreciate your concern lybrate-user. In fear of pain many girls doesn't take part in sex actively. There are lots of reason for pain. Most imp reason is psychological. So, she has to be treated with kindness & compassion. From his side, tell him to do adequate foreplay & love making before sex. Her vagina will be more receptive, dilated & wet due to secretions at that time. Make her arroused- console her that she will not get pain at all. Don't force- vagina will constrict. There may be structural problems also. Visit any gynaecologist to get checked as a simple dilatation procedure can be the solution.
