I'm 26 years old, 53 kg weight, 5'2" height, unmarried & have pcod. My current ovary size is lo: 10. 1 cc ro: 13. 6 cc, fsh: 4.88miu,rbs: 7.2 (test was done after 1 hr of heavy meal. The test was done after 3 months of medications. Before 3 months, my ro was 10. 4 cc & lo was 11. 4 cc. I have taken pill (rosen 28) & metformin (comet 500) for last 3 months & now I stop it. But I don't get my periods (it is day 45 since I have stopped taking pill) after stopping medications. Should I take pill & metformin again? Or if medications has to be changed, then what type of medication I need? Should I reduce my weight? Please suggest me in detail.

You have not mentioned how was your period pattern before you started. Also did you stop your medications on your own or on doctor's advice? It is better to continue metformin for atleast 6 months or not stop it if there are no side effects. You can also add t ovabless twice a day in addition. As for the amenorrhea, you can start rosen again or wait for 3 months for your periods to come naturally before taking them. Weight loss is not needed but it is advisable to maintain a healthy lifestyle in pcod.

Pcod is a metabolism disorder and you are not heavy weight so I don?t think you should take metformin for the same with natural medicine and some lifestyle changes you can easily come out of this problem. Taking pill for this is not at all a solution for the same it will make you habitual for taking pill and getting menses
