Swara is now 6 months 10 days old. She is preterm baby blue with 2 kg weight. Then after 2 days of birth she got admitted to hospital for jaundice. Then she was normal. I feed her from bottle. Use lactodex stage 1 .and use lactodex itself from birth as I dint had brest milk. I use mimi liquid and brush to clean bottles and sterilizer for bottle sterilizing .now before 10 days she passed semi liquid stool and it had 50 pus cells and mucus. Doctor here gave antibiotic oral for 3 days and she got admitted on 4 to day and completed dose of antibiotics injections through veins. Then again given oral antibiotics today is 4 to day of oral antibiotics. Yesterday she passed stool only once but today again she had semiliquid stool pass 4 times. What to do now I am worried why is this happening even after maintaining full hygiene.

Hello I understand your worry. May I know current weight of baby. Well sometimes post diarrhea there is indigestion of lactose milk as enzyme responsible for it is deficient. Use lactose free milk (no soy milk) for may be 1 week to 10 days. Start zinc syp 5 ml once a day for 14 days and enterogermina ampoules daily one for 7 days and keep watch on signs of dehydration. After this episode is over you may start with complementary feeding.

Bottled feeding is not advised for any infant. If she is growing well and gaining weight then nothing to do. Start proper weaning food and your baby will be ok.
