I have a collegue who had periods and she sat on sofa and stained it. Now it comes to my mind that whoever sits on that sofa gets that dirty blood at there back. Though this incidence is 2 yrs old. Even then I feel everything dirty with that blod. I think that people sit on the sofa and then on chair and have made all chairs dirty. Then these people also sat on my scooty and I think my scooty also got dirty with that blood. When I sit on scooty, I dont want to do this but I am obseessed to do. Please help. Am I having ocd

You could develop OCD but right now it is obsession and a fixation that just won? T leave you. Now you can get all these contaminated items cleaned, changed, or removed. But if your mind wants to obsess, it will find something or the other and it can easily and convincingly obsess about it, instead. You have a serious problem with unexpressed fear that is finding this form as a way of expressing it. The bottom line of the obsession is this fear. It has refined itself to hygiene aspects and worries itself about being infected. Meet with a counselor and discuss your fear, for a long time to come, going back into your childhood perhaps to trace its origins. You could also develop a checklist method of verifying that everything is really clean or that you are doing the right thing yourself to ensure that you are not contaminated. But this would mean that you really believe in your obsession! So please trust that, if you have been brought up normally, you have the immune system to combat most infections. The earlier you deal with this, the less complicated it will become over time.
