Hey, I am 23 years old female. I am facing hair loss issues like I have lost almost 50% of my hair from the crown area, my dermatologist suggested me to get my blood tests done. I found out that: my prolactin level is 43 ng/ml (range: f< 23 ng/ml), tsh = 7.37 l u/ml (range: adult<4.2 l u/ml) but my t3 and t4 levels are in range. My insulin level (fasting) is 21u/ml (adult <25 u/ml). So is this safe to say that my hair loss is because of high prolactin? And do I have to get treatment for my slightly elevated tsh level? P.s: my periods are regular.
