This is about my son.He is 19 years old good looking. From 14 years around to 17 years he was very angry with myself and his mother. He got good marks in his 10th and ok marks in 12th. For the last 2years his anger as come down considerably. 1 year back he had a love failure. I heard from his friends that he used bad words openly (scolded the girl) at the time of break up. Two days back he expressed his intention to meet a phychiartist. Kindly suggest the action I should take

He is a typical case of teenage problems. Teenagers go through a lot as they are placing their first step in the world, away from parents and caretakers. They need to find their own way and face a lot of challenges. Self esteem issues, breakups, peer pressures all this play with their minds. He is trying to cope with the break up and other things, but he is finding it difficult. Kindly be a supportive and understanding parent. Be non judgmental and try and feel the things he is going through. You should take him to a psychologist as it will be helpful. Take some actions before it becomes a big problem.

It seems like regular teen issue which can be dealt with without medications with the help of an adolescent counsellor who has the knowledge of adolescent psychology. Your son will be able to develop communication skills so that he can explain his anger without using bad words.
