You are displaying a fear of authority figures. This may stem from a stressed relationship with your parents while growing up. They may also have been too strict with you in particular or generally at home. So what you may be doing inadvertently is, projecting the parental fear on to anyone in a position of being superior to you in designation or age. So face your fears and just be responsible whatever you do.
