Dear lybrate-user, ocd medicines are going on for 2 years. Since 2 days symptoms, may be due to other causes. Did you inform the diabetes doctor about her ocd and medicines? If not inform her/him, for drug drug interaction. Let her/him discuss with the psychiatrist about causes of her symptoms. Taking too many medicines, should not the reason to stop medicines. Ocd is a chronic disabling disorder, needing long term treatment sometimes life long. Your mother is the best judge to help you to decide about ocd and stoppage of those medicines.

Thanks for asking this. You love your mother I could see that in your worry n concern. The treatment you are receiving is right. From psychiatrist. Convey best wishes to the family Dr. or psychiatrist. The new therapies which can be added are some dose changes / addition of new n latest methods like ocd protocol eith rtms therapy b brief pulse therapy if required for almost complete recovery with minimum medications n symptom free - which finally we can decide after consultation - in our experience of 30! years n we are 3 psychiatrist together. This you can discuss with your psychiatrist or you can arrange a audio or video call with him for right decision n early recovery or you can see the above details on google. Once again congrats for concern - for mother - call me or have video conf with me with appointment. Hoping she will recover with new therapy.
