I am 67. I have burning pain in the area over my knees on both thighs. The pain is more severe than the knee joint pain itself. What could be the reason and what I should do to avoid it. Thank you.

Are you suffering from diabetes or hypertension. These conditions could cause nerve weakness causing such burning sensations. Are you on any other long-term medications? You could benefit from Vit B12 and gaba combination drugs. However before I can prescribe the medicine, I would like to know if you go for work or you drive. This medicine could cause some drowsiness and requires prior precautions.
