Is it normal to have constipation after delivering baby? Suffering badly with back pain after delivering baby. Having stomach ache while feeding baby. Baby is 17 days old. How long I will be suffering with back pain and stomach ache. I delivered normally but with the help of epidural as I was unable to bear the pain. Kindly advice.

It takes 6 weeks for uterus to come back to normal after delivery. Constipation is common after delivery diet that is rich in fiber and plenty of fluids can ease constipation. For backache and stomachache, take painkiller if required. Have warm bath. Take plenty of rest. Ten minutes of stretching exercises on the floor each day will restore hip and back flexibility. Apply hot water bottle on tummy if required. For backache, incorrect posture and excess wt are also responsible. Get a lower back gentle massage hope this helps you.
