I had an RCT done in my tooth last year. However since a few days I am experiencing pain in the same area. X ray showed one of the roots has not been completely cleaned. Instead of redoing the rct I have been prescribed SENSIGEL paste to apply in the area. Is it ok ?

If its proved that one canal is not cleaned and obturated, then definitely you should go retreatment of the same tooth

Kindly consult your treating doctor ,sensigel will reduce sensitivity ,but for pain root canal is the option.

Hi .Sensigel is a temporary treatment given to you by the Doctor. You can use it and see if your pain subsides. If not its better to go for a Re Rct.That is the ideal procedure. In this the previous rct fillings are removed and the tooth is cleaned thoroughly till the end of your roots. And then a new rct filling is filled till the end of the root. This might cost you more then your previous Rct.

Good evening - we advise our patients to go for Re RCT or called as retreatment endodontics. Seek a dental appointment from a good dental surgeon specialist who does re RCT's.

Re doing of that RCT is required. These paste wont do any good and you will eventually lose that tooth. Re RCT is the treatment.
