2 years ago I did an ecg after experiencing sudden shortness of breath, on the ecg there was a report of possible left atrial enlargement which the doctor said wasn't a concern. Thereafter I did further ecgs 3-4 times at different other hospitals and the reports were fine and normal. No report of atrial enlargement. Few months later I suddenly started having chest pain. I did ecg again it was normal but I further did echo cardiology. All the artials and ventricles are normal. No enlargement was reported, the echo report was fine and normal. The cardiologist ruled out anything relating to the heart. I was treated for ulcer and acid reflux. On my last hospital visit I was given dihydrocodeine and amitriptyline which have worked well but not perfect. What can I do. It's close to 2 years. No more shortness of breath but the pain still persist. But with the dihydrocodeine and amitriptyline I was relieved.
