Sir current fasting sugar: 85, pp: 145, hbac1: 8.2 (15 days ago). My father (age 60 year) is using tab gemer forte 2, two times in a day tab remo 50, two times tab tendia 20, once a day insulin lantus 14 unit, one time now sugar is under control. Can we skip insulin now.

Hi, out of all the medicines he takes, insulin is the safest and not only it control sugars better but also keeps the organ healthy. Hba1c still high, it says that the sugar control achieved now was only from the recent past. Would suggest rock their insulin, probably 12 units at night. Keep checking your sugars every 15 or atleast 20 days and maintain a chart. If required based on other parameters like weight trend, feeling of wellness, abdominal tolerance we can cut any one of your medicines preferably tablets.
