Dear Lybrate user I can understand your concern but whether filling is an option or not it can be said only after a clinical examination and x ray. Generally when the infection has approached to the deeper layer pulp of a tooth then rct is suggested. You have not mentioned which tooth front or back are effected yet I would tell you here that with little variations sometimes, the earliest permanent tooth erupt at the age of 6 years. Your child is only 3, one cannot depend on antibiotics for so many years. You can send me the pictures and xray if you have .you can use my code sg38f5.

No more delay. Root canal treatment or extraction is the only option.
