I have had a root canal procedure on my upper left jaw. But the process couldn't be completed. The permanent filling was left undone. I left that jaw as it is. It has been five years now. From last couple of days this jaw has started to hurt and it has turned black too. I don't want an extraction as my eyes are very weak. Can my jaw be saved? What medications can help me?

Hello mam you should go to clinic and ask for x ray to know the current condition of tooth. Don't worry about color black color may indicate non vital tooth. The chances of saving a tooth depends upon structure available and infection in periapical area. Only medicine won't work you have to take procedure and medicine both. And I request not to repeat this type of careless behavior bcoz 5 years is much time. Ryt now start with warm saline gargle.
