Hai. Last year I consulted a gastroenterologist, because of bloating. Then he performed endoscopy and said I have erosive gastritis. Erosion at duodenum and stomach. He prescribed nexpro l for one month and nexpro 40 for another one month. I made some life style changes too and it all worked well for upto 5 months. But after 5 months I got new symptoms like heart burning and acid reflux along with my previous symptoms. I did not experience these new symptoms of acid reflux before. Now again I consulted him and he again prescribed same nexpro 40 along with nexpro rd. I do not know whether the they worked well. So I made more changes in my life style and stopped using medication. Everything is until now. Now again I am experiencing the same symptoms of acid reflux. I am staying at home now and I am taking healthy food but my condition is not improving. What is my problem? My acid reflux is becoz of high acid production or becoz of low acid production? Is it safe to take ppi regularly for long time?
