Can you tell me whether it is safe to take generic substitute medicines having the same composition as the allopathic medicines prescribed by the doctor (eg. Teneligliptin, vildagliptin, metformin, voglibose, glimepiride)?

If you really can't afford it you can buy generic, if you can afford it used the same. Reason is each drugs purity differs, gov sanctions if a drug is 60% pure, so generic drugs are 61-63% pure. Where as other drugs are like 95-99%.

Yes u can. If the composition is same, then it means it’s the same medicine. Even government is promoting the same. So relax
