I am a home maker, 40 years of age (f) and had never been sick due to a simple and moral life style, even though I had been at different places in india due to the defense forces service of my husband. My annual blood reports were normal till oct 2018. In may 2019 I got some kind of urinary infection and was prescribed some high doses of antibiotics for 8- 9 days by a gynecologist. Though my problem was solved but I always felt fatigue, and mood swing. I had gained a little more weight too (59 kgs to 63 kgs. Several months later this medication when I had a blood test, I got elevated tsh, i.e 5.9 but t3 and t4 readings were normal. When consulted a doctor she advised me to wait and watch for further 3 months and retest the thyroid. After three four months new test report reviled my tsh 6.24 and t3, t4 readings again in normal range. The doctor simply gave me a single line prescription and advised me to take some medicine 50 mg daily for the rest of the life, thats it. I was in dilemma and could not go for second opinion. Now my throat is very sensitive and irritating, sometimes my throat hurts when I swallow something, a small nodular growth is also visible. Again I got one more blood test and my anti tpo antibodies are >1300, free t3 and free t4 are still in normal range, tsh is 6.46. Till now I did not tested for grave disease and reverse t3. From last 20 days I am having some natural food supplements as multivitamins and minerals, zinc, magnesium, selenium, omega 3, vitamin b complex, vit d, ashwagandha, kachnar guggul. Further is there any therapy to reverse hypothyroidism or hoshimoto's disease? Thanks.
