My husband is 29 yr old. He has severe rotating pains in legs n hip joints. We visited to a orthopedic wherein after reports he was diagnosed with high Uric acid and symptoms of gout. It's been 5 months of the treatment and with current reports his Uric acid is under control. But he suffers severe pains in hip bone with cramps and stiffness in calfs and now unable to walk. We don't understand whom to consult and what exactly is the problem. Whether it's a bone issue or malfunctioning of any organ which have caused rise in Uric acid? Please help us so that we can consult a right doctor and undergo right treatment

Gout needs to be taken care with diet, medicines and exercises. Doctors must have started him on meds if they diagnosed gout and low protein diet should be administered which means avoid lentils and pulses, green leafy vegetables. Physiotherapist will guide you through the exercises which you can do at home and is a must.
