Sir I AM A SEVERE DIABETIC PATIENT SINCE 1992 NOW IAM 58 YEARS OLD, I AM TAKING NOVOMIX INSULIN NEARLY 40 UNITS PER DAY, FROM THE PAST 10 YRS IAM USING INSULIN,IF I TAKE CONNTINUOUSLY IS THERE ANY SIDE EFFECT ,SOME BODY IS SAYING IF I TAKE CONTINUOUSLY MY KIDNEY WILL BE AFFECTED, KINDLY SUGGEST APPROPRIATE MEDICINE TO REDUCE MY BLOOD SUGAR

Once the patient is on insulin they have to be on insulin, only dose may vary.Some times you may have to add medicines in addition to insulin.From the details you gave it appears you DM is very badly managed.So visit diabetologist once in a month and plan medicines and their modification this is a must.You should also manage your wt & diet which will help you to avoid complications & will assist you to get reasonable health.
