Sita glimptrin 100 mg was prescribed by my doctor along with glycomet gp 2 for blood sugar pp level 209. After taking one sita glimptrin and two glycomet gp 2 tab ?? hv1 aily for 15 days the sugar level pp reduced you have qto 156. Further continuing that creates some problem like feeling hot in the whole body and sometimes some burning sensation is felt in the whole body. Kindly advice whether I should continue that medicine or not.

Mr Sankar Kumar, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. In that you have just mentioned PP glucose levels. There is no information on fasting glucose and HbA1c%. Another aspect is that with newer treatment if PP glucose has come down to 156 mg, that is really very good. At this level there are unlikely to be any problematic symptoms. Only if hypoglycemia develops that is when blood glucose goes below 70 mg / 100 ml, then there is a possibility of developing symptoms related to " low sugar". So I am unable to understand why you are complaining. PP 156 mg is what is expected level. Thanks.
